Our Community

We not only have projects that focus on international development, but we also have a positive impact on our immediate community.

Maintaining the same objectives and mission, we focus on building others through education and providing emergency food services to meet basic needs.

The Summer Trail Blazers Day Camp supports and develops academic abilities of the children in our community through engaging hands-on activities. Our program is based on school curriculum and is meant to prepare children for success in the coming school year. ANIDA aims to support children and families in achieving success in our school system.

Last year, in partnership with the Excellence in Literacy Foundation, our summer camp increased literacy skills by more than 30% in just six weeks.  Our tailored, child centred program engages children’s interest in reading, writing, science and numeracy.  We are looking forward to achieving even more results and impacting more children to excel in our school system.

Our foodbanks are operated in partnership with local Food Security organizations and other community partners to provide emergency food services to meet the basic needs of the most vulnerable members of our communities. Our foodbanks currently serve over 100 individuals and families every week and cater to the immediate needs of our most vulnerable populations across Canada.
